Hi, I’m Sathish Veerapandian, a Security Architect based in the Netherlands, a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), and co-author of Reimagine Remote Working with Microsoft Teams.
EzCloudInfo is where I share practical lessons from working with Microsoft technologies: what I test, what I learn, and how those findings can help other IT and security professionals.
My IT journey
My career began with enterprise infrastructure, messaging and collaboration. Working with Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, Office 365 and Microsoft Teams gave me a strong foundation in designing, implementing and troubleshooting the services people rely on every day.
After working in Dubai, I moved to the Netherlands. I now work as a Security Architect in the CISO department at ING, within the Attack Surface Management pillar. Network security is my main domain, alongside my work on protecting identities, information and modern workplace environments.
My work has evolved from keeping collaboration platforms running to designing security controls across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender and endpoint environments. I’m particularly interested in information protection, data loss prevention, identity security, Zero Trust, and the governance of AI applications and agents.
Microsoft MVP and community contributions
Being recognised as a Microsoft MVP is a meaningful part of my journey. Sharing knowledge, learning from other professionals and contributing to the technical community continue to motivate my work.
Through EzCloudInfo, I publish technical walkthroughs, troubleshooting notes and hands-on experiments. I also contribute through community presentations, including Experts Live Netherlands, podcasts and collaborative writing.
My recent community work explores Microsoft Purview and insider risk, securing agentic AI and MCP, and practical AI governance. I’m building the AI Governance Control Center, an open-source project exploring read-only visibility into Microsoft Entra application and agent identities.
My book
I co-authored Reimagine Remote Working with Microsoft Teams with Harsharanjeet Kaur, Ashok Madhvarayan and Sriram Rajamanickam, published by Packt. The book brings together practical guidance on using Microsoft Teams to improve collaboration and productivity in a remote working environment.
