Our primary objective this time around was to invest in a wired headset, recognizing its comfort advantages during lengthy Microsoft Teams calls. Additionally, having a wired option serves as a reliable backup, especially when faced with the inconvenience of a drained Bluetooth headset battery.

Our specific focus was on noise cancellation capabilities, essential for maintaining productivity amidst the chaotic background sounds often encountered when working from home, particularly the disruptive clamor of children.

Noise cancellation is always a challenge to eliminate.

Difficult to eliminate human voices:

Human voices are particularly challenging to cancel out because they cover a wide range of frequencies and vary greatly in tone, pitch, and intensity. Unlike constant background noises like the hum of an air conditioner, human speech is dynamic and complex, making it harder for noise cancellation algorithms to accurately identify and counteract. 1. A wired Headset  with a USB A cable that looks ok.( Absolutely fine for the given price almost one third of the amount when compared to premium brands)
2. It has the Audio & Call controls kit attached to it (Nice handy when you are standing and attending the call or may be good when cooking and attending any meeting 😉)
3. A nice Cover with pouch that you can carry along with your headsets.
4. And finally a Manual that helps you to know and use the head set little bit more.

Testing them on a Windows 11 Device :

It was very straightforward. All I need to do is just plug-in the USB A cable and it autodetected in the output device and made it as default. The need of not installing a device driver is a good advantage.

When started playing music the speakers were very good and they have a HD quality output worth for given price. My quality for the speakers are mediocre and worth the given price.

On a Microsoft Teams Call:

During my Microsoft Teams call, I was immediately impressed by the Blucalm UCH30’s seamless connection and excellent sound quality. With three microphones, including one strategically positioned close to the mouth, recipients noted a noticeable difference in audio clarity, rating the microphone performance above average.

The device’s intuitive design further enhanced my Teams experience, with red indicator lights signaling my busy status during calls, and convenient controls allowing me to seamlessly navigate meetings and toggle mute functions.

While the device’s functionalities seamlessly integrate with Microsoft Teams, it’s worth noting that official certification from Microsoft is pending. Nevertheless, the standout feature remains its impressive noise cancellation capabilities, effectively minimizing distractions such as tapping on the table with a pencil.

This is further bolstered by the inclusion of Acoustic Shock Protection, ensuring users are safeguarded from loud and piercing tones, particularly during prolonged headset use. Overall, the Blucalm UCH30 excels in delivering a superior communication experience, making it an ideal choice for professional environments and personal use alike.

In summary, while the Blucalm UCH30 wired headset may not boast exceptional features, its reliability surpasses that of wireless alternatives, especially given its affordability at half the price range.

With commendable noise cancellation capabilities, it stands as a competitive option in the market. Ideal for call centers, hot desking environments, and individuals who prefer wired headsets, its value proposition is further highlighted by its compatibility and cost-effectiveness.

Although the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity could have widened its appeal to a larger audience, its current offerings still cater well to its target users.
